Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: April 2026
This site contains affiliate links. If you click through and sign up for a paid plan with one of the tools we review, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
What this means
When you click a "Try free" or "Get started" button on this site and then sign up for a paid subscription with that tool, the tool's affiliate programme tracks the referral and pays us a percentage of your subscription fee. The amount varies by tool — GetResponse pays 33% of your subscription for as long as you remain a customer; Brevo pays approximately 5% plus a flat bonus.
You never pay more because of these links. The price you pay is identical whether you arrive via our affiliate link or go directly to the tool's website.
Which tools have affiliate programmes
Not all tools on this site have affiliate programmes:
- Mailchimp has no affiliate programme. We review it anyway because it is relevant to our readers. The lack of an affiliate relationship does not make us more positive about Mailchimp — in fact, Mailchimp receives some of our most critical coverage because its limitations for UK Shopify stores are real.
- Klaviyo has an application-based affiliate programme. We applied on launch day and await approval. Until approval, the Klaviyo links on this site are direct (non-affiliate) links.
- GetResponse, ActiveCampaign, and Brevo have self-service affiliate programmes we joined at launch.
How commissions affect our recommendations
They don't. This is our editorial independence commitment:
Our tool rankings and recommendations are based solely on our own testing and assessment of each tool's suitability for UK businesses. We do not accept payment for favourable placement. If a tool does not have an affiliate programme, we still review it if it is relevant to our readers. If a tool has a higher commission rate than a better alternative, we recommend the better alternative.
Concretely: GetResponse pays a 33% recurring commission — the highest rate of any tool on this list. GetResponse is recommended in several places on this site, but it is recommended because it has the best free tier for UK businesses and EU data residency by default, not because of the commission rate. Omnisend has a lower or unconfirmed commission rate, and it is still our top overall recommendation because the evidence supports that recommendation.
Compliance
This disclosure is required under the UK Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 and the ASA/CAP Code. Commercial intent must not be concealed from consumers. Affiliate links are a commercial arrangement — this disclosure ensures you know about them before clicking.
